What Personal Data Do We Collect?

When you visit and navigate our site and when you communicate with us via our site, we will not collect personal information about you unless you provide us that information voluntarily. We are also committed to holding the absolute minimum amount of information on you and only that which is necessary for us to properly perform our role as Managing and Letting Agents.

If you provide such information by filling in forms on our website or by corresponding with us by phone, email or making contact through social media or otherwise, we will store your name, address, telephone number, email address and any property details and requirements you have.

If you are looking for property we will ask for your name, phone contacts and email address in order to be able to quickly communicate new instructions with you. We may also require information as to size of family and whether you have any pets.

If you are a Landlord we will ask you for certain information in order to identify you, to confirm your residential address and status and may be required in order to comply with current legislation including the Residential Tenancy (Jersey) Law 2011, the Money Laundering (Jersey) Order 2008 and the Residential Tenancy (Conditions Reports) (Jersey) Order 2014.

If you are a Tenant we will need to gather further information in order for you to be able to enter into a Lease such information will include photo i.d., a copy of your  of current registration card, previous Landlords’ references, Employer’s reference, credit checks and checking for any court judgements, plus  proof of ability to pay rent which may also require disclosure of income and savings.

Why do We Collect This Information and How Do We Use It?

To contact you;

To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;

To notify you about changes to our service;

To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, (such as making an online maintenance request through our site); when you choose to do so;.

We May Disclose Your Personal Information

Under certain circumstances and in order for us to perform our contract to our clients from time to time we may need to disclose information;

To third parties working on our behalf such as credit checking and referencing agencies and independent inventory and condition report agencies;

To provide utility companies with the names and contact details of new tenants and pass on the forwarding address to these companies of former tenant;

To provide contractors with tenants contact details, so that they may arrange access to make property repairs;

To notify other joint tenants of any rent arrears owed by another tenant;

To inform the Guarantor where the tenant has failed to pay rent;

In the event that we sell or buy any business, assets or shares, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business, assets or shares;

If we are under a duty of disclosure or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

We may receive requests for information from government departments, the police and other enforcement agencies. If this happens, and there is a proper legal basis for providing your information, it will be provided to the organisation asking for it.

Storage Of Your Information?

Any information that you do register with us will be stored securely and will only be used to deliver information to you based on your requirements. All the servers handling our cloud storage on 3 platforms are situated within the European region, We ask for your consent to store this information, and we will only send you information for as long as you continue to consent.
